L-Glutamine is a non-essential (conditionally essential) amino acid - the most abundant in the human body. It serves many roles: protein synthesis, nitrogen transport, immune cell function, gut mucosa health.

For athletes / those lifting heavy: glutamine levels may drop after intense or prolonged exercise, and some believe supplementing may help recovery, reduce soreness, and reduce muscle breakdown.
